Can you put regular gas in E10 vehicle?

My brother wants to buy a 2011 ford fiesta which says E10 on the gas cap.
Can you put regular gas in the car? Or does it have to be E10 specifically

The vast majority of the nearly 13 billion gallons of ethanol used annually in the US is E10, the 10 percent ethanol blend.

Just about all gas today is E10. If you can find regular (without E10) the nozzle won't fit.

Pretty much all gas stations sell fuel with some ethanol in it unless you are go out of your way and even then, you'll only find premium ethanol free duel.

That means no gas with more than 10% ethanol. Since that is 99% of regular gas sold today, he will have no problem.

You'll be fine with E0 (no ethanol). The E10 is there to tell you not to use E15 or greater. (You can find E85 out there. Don't.)

You can use any unleaded gasoline in it, 87 octane or better. It will tolerate E10 though I wouldn't try any higher "Exx", such as E85, which will seriously degrade mpg and performance. In California, it's very hard to find any gas that contains ethanol in a lower concentration than E10. I guess they labeled E10 on your car to say it is not a "Flexfuel" vehicle.

Check the owner's manual. Usually you can use regular unleaded gas or E10. It's just to tell you that you can't use E85.

My van is a "Flexfuel" van. It can use E85, E10 or E0 (regular gas).

Yes, you can use regular unleaded fuel. Ford recommends no more the 10% ethanol so don't use E85 15% ethanol.
