Why did my head unit stop working in my 95 Ford F150?
I was putting in a new head unit everything was working. I was putting it into my dash and the wire caps came off two wires that I believe weren't even connected to the head unit, and touched together, it sparked and the radio stopped working completely. I checked the fuse on the radio and the fuse in the fuse panel, both were good. I took the head unit back and got another one, thinking maybe I fried it, new one didn't work either. I replaced the wire harnesses and rewired them and still doesn't work. What else can I do? It doesn't make sense. Any suggestions would help, thanks.

- Why did Ford stop making the 7.3 liter power stroke? I can't comprehend why ford just drop the 7.3 liter and switch to the 6.0 and I heard bad things about the 6.0 and the 6.4 liter. So does anyone know why ford drop the 7.3? I hear the 7.3 are long lasting engines and are bulletproof so if they're such good engines why did they discontinue?
- My radio won't stop scanning, doesn't stop on any station, why? It's a stock 93 Ford Taurus radio, only am fm and cassette, cassettes work but I don't want to use. How can I get my radio to work again? My antennae was loose but I tightened it but it still won't work!
- Installing Aftermarket Head Unit in 2003 Ford Taurus SES? I can't figure out the wiring situation. I got the harness that runs all the way back to the trunk; however, it only has 9 wires. Two for each of the four speakers (8) and one to control an amp if applicable. However, while the wires from the head unit have two power wires, the harness has none. The head unit I got is a DEH-X6700BS. Please help, how do I power this head unit when the wiring harness has no wires for power, only speaker wires?!
- Installing a head unit in Ford Taurus? So I know you have to buy the kit to put your own head unit in the Taurus. My question is since I have the one with the 6 disc cd changer do I have to buy a more expensive kit even tho I'm not gna use the cd changer anymore? Also going to wire the car up for amp and sub to be later installed since the head unit will be out already.
