What would cause my 2008 F150 radio lights to fade away?
I have a 2008 Ford F150 and the lights on the radio will stay on like normal sometimes and other times the lights are barely able to be seen or not at all. I have not noticed any problems with any of the other electronics except the cruise control does not work. I don't think that would have anything to do with it though. What can I check or what would cause the lights to fade in and out? My Dad swears that when he taps on the plastic cover that the lights sometimes kick back on but I can never get that to work.
If you turn on your headlights in the daytime the dash lights will come on and the radio lights fade. You won't notice the dash lights on in the daytime but the radio is definitely noticeable. If you change the dash light intensity it often changes the the radio light intensity as well. Make sure you understand this functionality (see owers guide for details.).
- 99 Ford ranger XLT base model. Park lights, dash lights, and license plates lights out I checked online and realized it was probably a fuse which it is. Fuse 11 in my power distribution box. The problem is I keep replacing at and soon as I turn on my lights it blows instantly. Have replaced it multiple times. So then I looked under my truck and disconnected the wiring to my taillights and replaced the fuse, it worked it didn't blow. Dash lights and license plates lights were on so I figured some where there's a problem with the brake lights. Any suggestions?
- Headlights, instrument cluster lights, tail lights, and dome light all stopped working at once? 1995 Mustang GT convertible, fuses are good, switch is good. I'm about to do a voltage drop test on it tomorrow but I wanted to see if you Ford guys knew something that I'm overlooking.
- My husband has a 91 ford f150 4.9L straight 6. It's idleing high like 2000rpm what would cause that? He just replaced the valve cover gasket and changed the oil and filter. Its a manuel transmission and when he started it a back up it idled high. He tried replacing the idle air controller but that didn't help. Any suggestions
- 2004-2008 Ford F150 vs 2004-2008 Dodge Ram 1500? I have been wanting to know which of these two trucks should I get? I watch videos on them but as I read the comments the controversy between the people are just left and right, "dodge is better, ford is better" but they never give an explanation why. So which truck is more reliable and why?
