A mechanic would have to take a good look at it. If the oil and gas has been sitting in it for 10 years, they'll need to liquefy the oil and replace it completely before even starting the engine.
Two to three hours labor plus cost of parts. Fuel lines might require purging so bear that in mind.
- What parts will I need for a 2005 Ford Taurus 3.0L SFI DOHC 6cyl that has been sitting for 2 years? Right now my list includes: battery, wiper blades, air fliter, front and rear brake pads and all 4 tires? Also what mechanic services will I need? So far that lists includes: a tune-up, oil change, and an engine flush. Your help would be very appreciated.
- Truck has been sitting for like 8-10 yrs? We have a truck that has been sitting for like 8-10 yrs. And my son wants it for his first truck. I looked in the engine and there has been mice making nest in it. It has tons of rocks and trash in it. But i don't see any wires chewed. It's a Ford Ranger Splash 94 with only 55,000 miles on it. Do you think it would be worth it to tow it to get running again?
