What rearend do I have in my F150?
I have a 2000 Ford F-150 4X4 and the door axle code says H9 I believe its the 3.55 but is it the 9.75 or the 8.8 rear end the tags are all gone on it so I can't tell. It has 12 bolts on the rear cover as well any help would be grateful thanks. I'm attempting to replace my rear clutch disc pack as my truck grinds when I turn at low speeds, but it makes absolutely no noise when going straight down the road, if any one has had this problems please let me know what there fix or outcome was thanks.
Door tag gives an axle code
- If you have enough money, can you have a new classic car built? Like can I pay to have ford build me a 1970 Mustang? Lets say I don't want to buy an old car and restore it, I want a 1970 but straight off the factory line. Can you have a car built with the old style frame, engine, trans, etc?
- Will a 1993 ford f150 tachometer work in a 1996 ford f150? I have a 1996 ford f150 xl v8 automatic without a tachometer. I bought a 1993 instrument cluster with a tachometer. Will it be plug and play in my truck?
- What rearend will work in my 2000 F150? I have a 2000 F150 4x4 off-road the door tag says H9 and it's 9.75 the tag on the diff reads as follows, the top numbers are 3 S 919 F the bottom says 3L55 9 75 OD13. What do these numbers mean and what rear ends will fit as mine is 4x4 the ford dealer jut quoted me $2000 for a rebuild that's insane so I'm going to a junk yard to find my fix if you can also help me wih what each of these numbers mean thanks.

When the weather is cold the power steering works fine but when the weather starts to warm up the power steering stops working the belt looks fine but if the pump was bad then why is power steering working just fine in the winter time
