Used ford f150. Are the reliable trucks?
I currently have a Toyota Tacoma but need something bigger. I want something as reliable as the Tacoma. I really enjoy the looks of the f150. I'd be looking at years 2007-2014. Low miles etc. Are ford f150s good reliable truck? Other option is a used Silverado.
While you can easily look up reliability statistics here https://www.consumerreports.org/cars/ford/f-150, every model year has its duds. How reliable a given used vehicle will be greatly depends on how the vehicle has been driven and maintained. If you don't have the skills to properly evaluate a vehicle, either get help from someone who does or start taking Uber everywhere or buy a full size Toyota Tundra, the most reliable pickup made. It will ultimately be cheaper for you even if the purchase price is higher.
Fords have problematic brakes. The rotors like to warp. Silverados don't. The rest is pretty equal. Both have ABS module snafus.
As good as it gets…
- What is a good, cheap, RELIABLE used truck for hauling a trailer? (Mowing)? It would be for my mowing and yard work business. It will also be my first vehicle as I turn 16 in a few months. I can afford around $6200 or less. I would prefer that it would last for several years, which is the Most IMPORTANT aspect. Ford Rangers are very cheap, but would they hold up for very long carrying around a trailer with a zero turn mower, push mower, and trimmer?
- I had a oil change for my 2004 Ford focus. They used 5w-20 is that OK. In the past 5w30 was used. Is it OK? I had a oil change for my 2004 Ford focus. They used 5w-20 is that OK. In the past 5w30 was used. Is it OK? - 1
- Any new interesting news about Gm, Ford or mopar performance vehicles coming out in 2018,2019? Trucks, cars, trucks, SUVs, Hatchbacks? Mopars has brought out extreme amounts of muscle cars, trucks, SUVs, full size and mid size sedans. Other than cadillac is there any other American an brands coming to compete? Or is mopar going to compete with the raptor/Shelby for trucks or for small/hatchback against Ford and there focus st/r's?
- What is a better truck mid and full size used trucks? I'm not sure of what truck to get. I won't be towing much but nice to have a bed for firewood, moving furniture etc and I like trucks. Out of these full and midsize what is a good truck to get used and reliable good on gas for a truck etc. Between the years of 2005-2009 and 2011 or newer Chevy Colorado old and new Ford f 150 Toyota Tundra old style Toyota Tacoma
