What is a better truck mid and full size used trucks?

I'm not sure of what truck to get. I won't be towing much but nice to have a bed for firewood, moving furniture etc and I like trucks.
Out of these full and midsize what is a good truck to get used and reliable good on gas for a truck etc. Between the years of 2005-2009 and 2011 or newer

Chevy Colorado old and new
Ford f 150
Toyota Tundra old style
Toyota Tacoma

TACOMA is the best choice. Better gas mileage than any of the others and can do what you need done. The old Colorardos have lousy engines. Look at the reviews. The V6 F150s have troublesome engines. Tundra is a good truck but more expensive to fix and run.

The Colorado and Tacoma's beds aren't very large, but I'm sure could handle what you need. Since you wouldn't need to tow much, towing rates don't really matter. And you said, good gas mileage… Trucks don't get it period, so that's out the window. You pretty much just asked for personal opinion instead of technical question in which you worded it? I like the Colorado Z71's and the F-150 STX's/XLT's. The only question left to ask is 4x2 or 4x4.

Hi so if you want a reliable 4x4 the only one is a toyota.

  • Would it be weird if I bought a full size van as my first car? I'm 17 and I want to buy my first car. I'm used to driving SUVs and pickup trucks. I have always liked full size passenger vans. I like being able to haul things and customize it. I really like the 1992-97 Ford E150 XLT 7 passenger van. Would it be weird if I bought one as my first car? I'm talking about a van.
  • Aren't you amazed by the capabilities and the size of today's full-size pickup trucks? I drive a 2011 Ford Ranger XLT 4x2 with a 4.0 liter V6 (~245 ci.) engine. I was looking up the specs for early-mid 1960s F100s (considered full-size), and they have nearly the same GVWR, towing capacity, payload, horsepower, wheelbase, and height as my "compact" truck. In your opinion, do you think today's full-size trucks are amazing or too fancy/over-sized (a traditionalist like me)? P.S.: I like all American vehicles
  • Ford transit full-size cargo van? I'm planing buy new transit full-size cargo van, ford offer 3 engines: 3.7L TI-VCT V6, 3.5L ecoboost V6 and 3.2L I5 diesel which one would you recommend and why?
