Truck gear stuck in Park uphill?

My 2002 Ford F150 is stuck in Park up a hill and the gear will not budge. Is there a way to resolve the issue without getting it towed?

Use the ******* first head you dump ****

Have someone give you a little bump from the back to take the pressure off the parking pawl

Have someone (AAA can do this if a member) push gently on the back to release the park and pawl assembly. Next time parking on a hill before you put it in gear apply the parking brake. When leaving start vehicle put it in gear and then release the parking brake so no more problems

Turn Key on and get a few people to rock it whileyou move the selector, the way to avoid this is to always apply your parking brake and make sure it is holding before putting into park

Need to get someone to push up as it sounds like it's sitting hard on the park pawl. May need to force it

Did you try turning the steering wheel
