  • Ford 300 starts smoking from oil cap after 1 minute of runtime and radiator smells like a wet fire pit? It was running fine then it started acting hard to start off and smoking a little so I figured oil. Put some more in and it straightened up for a mile or so then started acting up worse. It began to have a knocking noise like an old diesel tractor. I don't understand what it is because it starts up just fine but won't run for more than a minute before it starts pudding and knocking. Also there are tiny pieces of rust chunks in the radiator and it smells like a wet fire pit.
  • 1995 Ford F150 starts but acts like it runs on 1 or 2 cylinders? It either dies after a several seconds or it idles smoothly after several seconds. Pushing the gas pedal does nothing. Wtf is this?
  • Gas gauge not working and car acting up? My car ran out of gas because my gauge said I had a quarter of a tank when obviously I didn't (grrr!) Anyways I put about 3 gallons of gas in my tank and when I start my car, it's idling extremely low and when I go under 15 or 10 mph it dies. Once I get going steady (25-45mph) it's fine. Is this normal for a car that has been run out of gas? What could be wrong? Maybe I picked up the trash thats in the bottom of the tank? Help? Anyone? Suggestions? (1999 Ford Escort SE)
