Sounds like a great idea to me. Fords are %^&*() up from the factory. Anything you do to them will only improve them.
Don't forget the curling iron too.
Dyeing? Or painting? If you wish to change colour then by all mean ago ahead. Bear in mind manufacturers. Spend a lot of time and effort trying too get everything looking just right. However we all have blown tastes but lets hope when we trade it in it retains its value or even gets more.
