Battery
A dead battery would be the most obvious culprit.
Battery, battery cables, or alternator
Could be several things… Battery starter or starter solenoid.
Batteries lose charge if not driven or started for several days.
Take both off and have tested at your local auto parts store… It's FREE!
Your starter motor or battery are gone. First check the battery, if the battery has good power then its the starter motor.
First thing to suspect is a discharged battery. Start there.
Bad solenoid.
Dead battery. Get a jump. If it won't start again then your altinator is bad.
Corroded or loose connection on the connection to the battery terminals
Bad starter for sure. That clicking you hear is the starter solenoid doing what its supposed to do, which is sending power to the starter so its not the solenoid. Ya you could have bad connection anythings possible but if this just happened out of the blue then starter is where id look. Not a big deal probly looking at a 100 dollar bill. Look up a how too video on youtube you'll save more money installing it yourself

- If I have a 2008 Mercury Mariner and have the key below could I use the standard key and remote? What I mean by standard remote and key is like the ones Ford, Mecury, and Lincoln came out with at first with just a remote and key. Also how would an extra key cost like the one in the picture above? Would it be cheaper to do the the standard key and remote?
- I have a 2000 Ford Windstar that won't start. When I turn the key all I hear is a clunk noise? Battery good, starter good, cables good, fuel system good. No indication before hand that anything was going bad. One morning just went to start and NOTHING.
