I have a 1993 Ford F-150 5.0. I need mechanical experience please?

I have a 1993 Ford F-150 5.0. I have replaced the following, E4OD Transmission, battery, core deposit(2), fuel filter(twice), both fuel tank(it has two), and the distributor.
My truck ran fine after all these were replaced.
Starting about 2-3 months ago it would not start after a short drive(to the store, school etc) until I let it sit for 10-20 minutes. It only did this after short rides, then it started doing it more often my buddy actually jumped me and it worked the second he attached the jumpers. Yesterday it died at the gym before work and my brother had cables from his truck on it for 20 Minutes. It did nothing all the electronics work including the light which means the battery is fine. The truck doesn't even try to crank just a click. I hear the fuel pumps turn on so I don't think its that either. Any suggestions?

Well if you hear a click (that would be the solenoid on the inside of the fender by the battery) then you know the start system is good to that point. Clean the insides of the battery terminals and use a test light to see if you get power to the side of the solenoid that has the wire going to the starter. If not the solenoid is bad if so it might be the starter motor. Also check the connections on the solenoid and starter for corrosion.
