How to fix low drive on my Ford F150 if the 4WD knob is broken?
I got stuck in a ditch today and I got using 4L. The knob to select it was broken when i tried to turn it to 4L, I looked in my truck and found pliers which I used to turn it. When I pulled out of the ditch I used the pliers to turn it but it wouldn't move. My friend gave it a try and he turned it but the dash lights flickered then went off and it said we were still in 4L then the "low drive" light lit up. How do i fix it?
You probably busted something up further than the knob, a sensor that goes to the light? Pulling the whole thing to check isn't going to be fun but about all I can think of. Good Luck.
