Ford f 150 4x4 hub actuator problem?
I have a 95 F 150. The automatic Hub actuators are shot. The truck is not worth replacing them. Can I just pull them out and continue to drive it?
You can get manual conversion kits for around $115. Not a lot of money, and you can still have 4WD.
- Where can I get a door actuator? I have a Mercury Villager 2002. I need to replace a door actuator but unfortunately Ford does not make the part any more. I do not know how to work on cars and to find things at junk yards. How can I go about getting the part? My mechanic says he can't find the part…
- Vintage Ford Hub Caps? I need help identifying the year of these old Ford hub caps I found. I have looked on the internet but still can't find them.
- 1993 ford ranger locking hub conversion? The 4wd locking hubs are shot. If you put them in the lock position they just pop and grind. I took them off and they are just wore slap smooth out. I can replace them with factory replacement parts, or my question… Can I convert it over to live axle?
- How to unplug a car door actuator? I have a 98 ford falcon and the central locking doesn't work, the locks automatically go down and up again. The same happens if I do it manually. I think it is an actuator problem. How do I unplug the actuator so that I can manually lock the doors (I'm ok being able to just manually lock them so don't want to replace the actuators).
