Where can I get a door actuator?
I have a Mercury Villager 2002. I need to replace a door actuator but unfortunately Ford does not make the part any more. I do not know how to work on cars and to find things at junk yards. How can I go about getting the part? My mechanic says he can't find the part…
Need the correct description of part. Door handle, locking assembly, strut to hold rear hatch up? Once you figure THAT out, try e-bay motors/parts & accessories.
The Mercury Villager was a joint venture between Ford and Nissan based on the Nissan Quest. You could try to see if the same part from the Quest would fit.
- Can i get out of a ford lease early? Or get a new car early? After my 2004 GTO broke down, i was forced to lease a 2014 Focus, for 3 years and had to get extended miles. Its been about 5 months since i've had the car and so far i hate it. Slow, cheaply made, stereo is terrible, no traction in winter, i don't like it at all. Is there any chance of getting out of the lease early or turning it in without hurting my credit, or even turning it in to lease a different car. Possibly a truck or taurus. Has anyone else been in this situation?
- Should Sears and Ford HIRE Dotard McTiny as their CEO and get profitable again! If he can get Foreign Diplomats and American Lobbyists to? Pay $350.00/night to sleep in a tiny room in an old Post Office and keep it FULL and VERY PROFITABLE, don't you think that he could come up with an idea to save 40+ thousand American jobs?
- How to unplug a car door actuator? I have a 98 ford falcon and the central locking doesn't work, the locks automatically go down and up again. The same happens if I do it manually. I think it is an actuator problem. How do I unplug the actuator so that I can manually lock the doors (I'm ok being able to just manually lock them so don't want to replace the actuators).
- Had my ford transit broken into, door peeled in half, what would people recommend, van alarm or deadlocks and door strengthening? My van door was peeled in Half from top to bottom and cleared of everything inside. I'm thinking of getting an alarm that will go off if van is shaken or movement inside but I think this might be too late and the door damage done. Would I be better off getting visual locks for thief's to see then have my door reinforced inside out by my friend who's a welder.
