Ford F-150 2004 key programming issue?
So I ordered a new key remote online, turned the ignition on off 8 time, programmed the remote, but now my key (pat key) won't turn my truck on
Try a spare key. No fix, call a car locksmith.
Getting the car to sync with the radio frequency used to remotely lock and unlock the doors is a completely separate matter to getting the ignition immobiliser to recognise the key.
Only a franchised Ford dealer or a suitably equipped automotive locksmith can do that, and on many modern cars including all Fords built over the last decade or so that can only be done using a brand new Ford-supplied key-head.
HI so as it was never deigned to have such an adaption it is not going to work.
- Lost my only key to my car. It's an 02 ford taurus station wagon and has a chip in the key? Ordered and blank key. Going to get it cut then have it programmed. I have an extra key that will unlock my doors but won't start the car because it doesn't have a chip and isn't programmed for my car. Can I use my key that unlocks the door to get it cut and then use my vin to have them program it?
- 2011 mustang mykey programming? So I have a 2011 Ford mustang v6 and when I turn it on it says "mykey active drive safely" does that mean that it has something blocked and that's why it's active? I tried to reset the mykey but no mykey option shows up… I put it in on and pressed and held the setup button but no msg of set up mykey comes up. I was playing around with the car and wound up with the system check and one of the checks was " 2 mykeys active, 1 master key" I have 2 keys.
- Speedometer issue jumping up and down on a Ford F-150 Lightning? Hi recently My Ford Lightning speedometer has been jumping up and down while driving. Not sure what else it could be it's not the Cluster, Not the wiring nor the Cable. It's not the speed Sensor or Transmission Sensor. I also can't get any codes from my readings. Not sure what to checkout now any advice is appreciated Thanks!
- I have a Ford F150. I'm thinking about going to walmart and get a key copy, and it has a chip. Will the key they provide me start the car? It's a 2007 model by the way. It has a chip on the key, and I was wondering if the cloned car key they give me be able to start the car up.
