Do you think the GMC Canyon is overpriced?

I have a 2011 ford f150 but looking to downsize. I want something more fuel efficient while still having a large payload capacity so I've decided on a canyon. It is insanely expensive. For the same price I can have a nicely equipped 2018 ram 1500. Thoughts?

The Dodge is now a foreign car, so that answers that. Ford quit making the smaller Ranger because it worked-out to be as expensive as an F-150. But they will start back-up on a NEW Ranger soon, so wait a bit…

GMC is simply an overpriced, dressed up version of Chevrolet.

Get its cheaper brother, Chevy Colorado. Same vehicle but for the luxuries.

Firstly you are not downsizing. An F150 is a half ton pickup
A RAM 1500 is a half ton pickup The "150" is the number that says so.
You are just buying a newer model of the same size.
The Canyon is new so you need a Canyon sized wallet full of cash.
If you got that, then you can afford the vehicle.
Definitely cheaper to stay with what you got and do the maintenance on it… As every vehicle requires maintenance.

Way overpriced.

I LIKE THE STYLE OF THE FIRST GENERATION OF CANYONS AND COLORADOS.

I WANT TO PUT THE DIESEL ENGINE IN ONE OF THOSE.

I REMEMBER THE FIRST GENERATION HAVING A HIGHER CRASH TEST RATING. A MIX OF 5 AND 4 STARS FRONTAL AND SIDE. SAME ROLLOVER RATING.

I'm TRYING TO AVOID GETTING A TRUCK WITH PLASTIC DOOR AND TAILGATE HANDLES.

I WOULD RATHER HAVE A FULL SIZE PICKUP WITH AN 8 FOOT BED. A FULL 1 TON (OR 4000 LBS PAYLOAD) IS MY PREFERENCE. I THINK 18-20MPG ON THE HIGHWAY IS DOABLE FOR SOME YEARS WITHOUT MODIFICATION AND THAT WILL SATISFY ME.
