Can I use peak 50/50 antifreeze in my 2005 ford f150? - 1
There are two colors of antifreeze, green and red. Use the same color.
Yes, as long as you flush the whole system.
It's not the BEST antifreeze you can use(best would be using something made by Ford, most likely sold under the Motorcraft brand). I use Peak in my car and it works perfectly fine. Peak long life(light green/yellow) is made in the same exact factory as Autozone branded antifreeze, has the same exact ingredients too. The stuff contains 2-EHA and is said to eat away seals over time as the stuff gets acidic if used in an open system(one that has a low pressure res)
If your Ford has a coolant res. That is high pressure(read the cap), you are fine.
- Water instead of antifreeze? Ford, gt500? My radiator has cracked and it spits out all the antifreeze. Don't have money to buy radiator at this moment so an I fine just putting water in it for a while. When I was refilling with antifreeze it would be empty within two days. Is it ok to just keep refilling it with water?
