A/C Problem on my Ford F150?
My 2010 Ford F150 started blowing out hot air when the Max A/C was on so I had it checked out & there was a HUGE leak down the front of the A/C Condeser. So I had it replaced with a new one & it blows out "cool" air when its 75-80 degrees out. When it is anything above that it blows out hot air still. It also makes loud blowing noise from underneath the hood when the compressor kicks on. What do you think the problem is? Is it possible that the mechanic added too much freon?
I'm not an a/c expert but it does sound like it could be an issue with not adding the correct amount of refrigerant to the system, take it back and explain what's going on.
At 75-80 degrees and (more importantly) moderate humidity, the vent discharge temp in the car should be about 50 degrees F
- Car acceleration problem and idle problem. The car is a 2003 Ford Taurus? . When the car is running and in parked its making a loud consisted rev noise. However the rpm needle thingy is not moving. when i'm in drive the car acclerates on its own with the speed ever increasing. i did some googling and learned that it can be the TPS sensor or the idle air intake valve, among a million other possiblities.
- Will a 1993 ford f150 tachometer work in a 1996 ford f150? I have a 1996 ford f150 xl v8 automatic without a tachometer. I bought a 1993 instrument cluster with a tachometer. Will it be plug and play in my truck?
- Water pump problem with my 89 f150? I have an 89 ford f150. I'm not sure if my water pump is completely broken or just has a small leak. When I pour water into the cap it goes down the hose and into the pump and all of it just leaks out. Is the pump broken and need replaced or is it just a hole that I can seal with some sealant from the store? If it is broken what does a water pump typically cost?
- Problem with ABS and brake light on Ford F150? I have a 2001 F150. Front brakes replaced a few months ago. Last night, I realized my rear brake lights weren't working. I'm not sure how long they've been out or if it's related to the bigger problem. While testing the brake lights by pressing the brake pedal, the pedal seemed to give out and sink lower. While driving the brakes worked but only when I pushed the pedal all the way in. Eventually the ABS light came on and stayed on. Any advice?
