Lots of possible reasons. If you aren't a trained mechanic with diagnostic tools then take the vehicle to someone who is.
for what its worth, the ABS light can be caused by something as simple as low voltage from a low battery. Even if the battery is never drained to the point where the car won't start it can be low enough to trigger the ABS warning light. So if you want to save the diagnostic fee you can try charging the battery (either by putting it on a charger or taking the vehicle for a long drive), or have the battery checked which is free at many shops or part's stores.
You have a problem with the vehicles ABS. A vehicle mechanic will be able to tell you what the problem is once they have inspected the vehicle.
Get the codes checked with a scan tool that is capable of checking ABS codes. Bad wheel sensors are usually the culprit.
