Where is the horn located inside my 1998 Ford Explorer?
I know this must be in the service manual, I just can't find mine at the moment. I have a 1998 Ford Explorer with a V8 5.0L engine. The horn isn't working and it isn't the fuse so now I need to test the horn itself, but where is it?
They are located behind the grill to the passenger side of the front of the engine compartment. Usually, in front of the radiator.
CHeck out this drawing… Horn label is lower left.

I bought a new remote keychain fob for my 1997 Ford Explorer and I programed it, when I push the panic button only the lights flash on and off, the horn does not make a sound when pushing the panic button, however the horn is working fine otherwise, just not with the remote, I only hear a clicking noise coming from somewhere around the dash or under the steering wheel when I push the panic button, does anyone have any idea what the problem might be and how it can be fixed?
