Weird issue with 1996 Ford Explorer (459k miles)?
I have an automatic 1996 Ford Explorer OHV V6 (2WD with 4WD low and high settings) with 459k miles, it was originally my grandfathers and it's been a really great car in terms of reliability except as of recent there's an issue nobody has been able to explain. Every time I take it to a mechanic they ignore when i tell them its when you first fill up the tank to full or above 3/4 it will not start up, however every time after you get it first started it will not have trouble starting up so they tell me nothing's wrong.
When I fill up the gas tank the needle stops at the 3/4 mark (the fuel level needle will be at the 3/4 mark until the truck is successfully started) and when I go to turn the ignition the engine turns over but it will not turn on until about 2 hours passes by (when you attempt to turn it on the gauge will flicker weirdly and the engine turns over really slowly, and it will not start successfully) . If I fill the tank to about 2/3 to 3/4 full or less it will start immediately though. No mechanic has been able to solve this issue, what could it possibly be? Would it be worth fixing?
Definitely an EVAP systems issue. Read how these systems work and you'll understand why a bad purge or vent valve or bad charcoal canister could prevent it from starting.

Oh, and find a new shop. They're not taking you seriously. EVAP system parts are cheap. Even if they guess and throw parts at it, you're not talking more than a few hundred bucks.
I did some online research. One site said their purge control valve was faulty.

- I just bought a 1990 Ford Ranger and it is doing something weird? As stated in the title I bought a 1990 Ford Ranger today and it had recently gotten some parts replaced including: Fly Wheel, Starter, tires and some others. But the problem is, when I'm stop and accelerate the whole truck shakes and jiggles and I'm not exactly sure what it is? Any comments help. It's a Ford Ranger 1990 Automatic 4wd. Also, I'm not sure if this is normal on these old of cars but when on the freeway going about 65 that's red lining it.
- Isn't weird the connection between Mary Shelly and Christine Ford? !) Both are authors. 2) In 1818 Shelly wrote her best work of fiction. 200 years later Ford wrote her best work of fiction. 3) Mary was an honorable girl of 17 when she wrote about a monster. Christine was a monster who wrote about a dishonorable 17 year old girl.

- 2016 Ford Explorer Seatbelt issue? We have a new computer and new seatbelt for a 2016 Ford Explorer but the light that depicts seat belt deployment is still on. How do we get that light to turn off? We're trying to fix it ourselves. We want to find the solution so that the light will turn off. We installed the new computer and the new seatbelts and airbags but the seatbelt in the passenger seat is giving us an issue. We don't know if there's a current running into system.
