Title loans company have right to repo, but I believe debtors have also a right to protect their property?

I recently took out a $2,000.00 title loan on my 2004 Ford Explorer and found myself in a position where I can't replay the loan back. I understand the title loan company needs their money but I need my car. I did not have a job when I took the loan and still can't find suitable job.

The tilte loan company recently wrote to me about handling the car oveer to them and I don't want to do that. They claimed that I owed them close to $3,695.00. I want to know what within my rights I can do to protect my car. I purchased the car for $ 8,000.00 and giving it back to them will kill me. I want to repay them back but they want me to give them so much that I don't have. What can I do at this time to protect my car?

I want to repay them. Please reply with advise. Don't tell me I need to repay the loan. I know that already.

"I want to know what within my rights I can do to protect my car." It's not your car. You hypothecated it to secure the loan.

"I want to repay them back but they want me to give them so much that I don't have." It's great that you want to. They foresaw that you might not be able to so, you and they both agreed that you would give them your car instead. Do as you agreed.

"What can I do at this time to protect my car?" Again, not your car. You signed away your rights to the car. You had the right to hypothecate the car and did so. Give them the car as agreed.

Your right were clearly spelled out on the title loan agreement - if you don;t pay, they can take your car

In effect, you want to renege on the loan contract you signed without consequences. That's delusional and you're just attempting to disguise that reality with talk about "rights."

Until you pay the loan, the car is collateral and you lose all rights to ownership should the loan company desire to repossess. Your rights extend to receiving any difference between what the title loan company sells the car for and what you owe. So, you don't want to hear this, but your only option is to repay the loan plus interest.

You can pay them what you owe them. To be very clear, this is the only thing that you can do to keep the car. You can't keep the car forever if you do not pay them what you owe them. (There are some things you could do to delay the repo but you would still have to pay eventually or lose the car.)

You don't get any rights now. Your obligation was to pay back or the car is taken. You didn't pay u lose the car. There's no negotiation. U stuck them now they stuck u. If you had no job why did you get the loan before having a job to pay it? Once you are bound to a loan contract until its paid it is not yours its legally there's. Get your *** on a payment plan. Debtors have no right of protection of property that is NOT there's to begin with. And no its not yours till its paid.
