My suv ford explorer the motor turns over i numped it once now it won't start?

Big Fords are famous for corroding the INSIDE of the positive ( red wire ) battery cable clamp. Pull that clamp off the battery post, then scrape both the INSIDE of the clamp & the sides of the post with a small pocket knife blade. If that helps, most all car parts stores carry a small wire brush designed just for that job. Also, around 2002, Ford tried-out some light-weight sheet-metal battery cable clamps, instead of the old fashioned 'lump' of lead clamps. They didn't work. So if your truck has those sheet-metal clamps, you'll have to get them replaced with the good old fashioned lump-of-lead clamps.
Could be the starter solenoid if all your battery connections are good and you have a full charge on the battery. If it is that, it will just click once when you try to turn it over. You can peck on the starter solenoid sometimes and get another start out of it. However, usually this problem gradually comes on as failed starts occasionally that progressively gets worse. I would check you battery connections before I did anything. Then, if you are not sure what it could still be and your battery is showing full charge, then take it to a shop or have a mechanically inclined buddy take a look at it. Without being there in person and testing voltage on your battery and alt output readings when it is running, its hard to tell.
- 2001 Ford Ranger clicks once then won't turn over, and when key is turned off, it begins making a clicking relay noise under the dash? - 1 I've had this happen before, and the last couple times I just undid the battery and put it back in and it started right up. The battery has a charge, the alternator is new, and I tried jumping the battery just in case. So I know it's not that. I'm thinking it could be something in the ignition switch because sometimes I have to lift up on the shifter knob for it to register that it's in park and turn over. Any ideas?
- Ford Focus transmission light on, turns over but won't start? I recently replaced my ignition coil due to a misfire. Ran fine for 2 weeks, today I hit a bump and the tranny/motor shook and it stalled, started it back up and it was misfiring and ran for 30-40 feet then stalled again. Now it won't start at all when I try to start it the transmission warning light comes on (gear with! In the middle). It turns over but won't start.
- 2004 ford explorer turns over but will not start? My car died and can't get it to start it has good spark but i don't know what's going on my dad seems to think it may be the fuel pump but any help would be great
- Car won't start, radio turns on automatically when I try to start the car? I have a 2004 Ford Freestar and I attempted to wire it for pulling a trailer. Well, I messed something up because now when I try to start the car it clicks like a dead battery. If that's all that happened I would just assume the battery was dead but the radio turns on too and the lights on the dash go a little buggy… so I removed all the wires I installed but the problem still persists. Any help would be great!
