Is my family taking advantage of me?
Okay so I'm 17, and i no longer live with my mom and her husband who live in a small town. I'm with my grandparents. However my mom's other two, My sister who is 18, brother who is 21 both live with her. I'm a junior in high school, I still go to the high school in the town my parents live in, My sister goes to a school that is 31 minutes away. Plus being a 18 year old senior she doesn't have her driver's license. So my mom drives her, and my dad (not her husband) picks her up every day. Now my mom made my dad mad, So he's no longer picking her up. So i'm getting tasked with it. Which is still a good 20 minute drive for me just to get there. As well as 28.2 miles. I drive a 2005 Ford Explorer that maybe gets 16 miles to the gallon. I said no today that i didn't want to get her. She told me "Chris, this is what family does. Your brother helps me out all the time with her. He knows that family does that for each other. She doesn't have a DL. What do you expect from her?! Well thank you for your help! Remember there may be a chance in your life when you will need the same help and you will appreciate it as well. Remember we're all we got in our family." Which is bull. Her husband can go get her. She's working i understand, But she tries to guilt me and say i never do anything for them. I help support my siblings financially though i make the least. I've given my brother up to a $300 loan. (never seen that back). I also stopped working recently. So gas is a drain.
Agree to pick her up if your mom pays for gas and consider teaching your sister how to drive
Maybe you shouldn't have chosen such a gas hog to drive.
- Who is Ford family hiding from? In the past few days I have seen several news reports saying that Ford family is now having to hid from Kavanaugh supporters. That does not make any sense to me. His supporters are conservatives, and conservative don't go looking for revenge. That is one of the key differences between liberals and conservatives. Liberals use violence to try and force others to accept what they want. Conservatives use logic and reason to show why their way is better.
- Looking for a good family car? Looking at ones like a Vauxhall Mokka or the Ford Kuga. I don't know a whole lot about cars but looking for it to be 5 door, 5 seater, big enough to hold a pram or two, and with a higher driving position, but not a "gas guzzler". Any suggestions for make/model are welcome. Preferably not ones over £12,000.
- Left Rear Wheel noise when taking a slight right turn? I have a noise coming from my back of my Ford Focus, ( woo woo woo ) for a while now, it's driving me crazy, I can only hear it when I'm in second or third gear when turning slightly to the right, also i just realized that when in star moving or my car is reversing for a second or two I can hear a squeeking noise. I lifted the car and checked the wheel and is moving freely with no noise whatsoever, it looked ok. I kind of run out of ideas can anyone give any suggestions please!
