Is a v8 ingine good in gas?
Ford explorer 2002
13-15 MPG city, 18-20 highway depending on which engine you are talking about. So, definitely a big no. Any engine that big will be a guzzler. Some Hummers can get better gas mileage shockingly.
If you even remotely worry about MPG you don't want a V8, lol
Gas mileage by itself doesn't tell you much. If you want high mileage, get a step-thru scooter. But, can't pull much & the back seat isn't. In a sizable truck the difference between a V-8 & a V-6 might be pretty slim. In the Explorer you mention, the V-6 does a good job, as long as you don't pull a trailer.
- What is a good car that can hold 6-8 people and had good gas milage? I don't want a minivan. Right now I have a ford freestyle. I'm looking for under $5,000 and can get around to 40 miles per gallon
- Small trucks, good on gas? Suggestions? I'm going to be buying a small truck here in a few weeks. I've been looking mainly into Ford Rangers, I'm a girl who has no experience with trucks and I'm really needing some good advice on what small trucks would be best on gas. I need something handy that could haul a dirt bike and a few things here and there, but one that is also good on gas for driving long distances. Thank you in advance for your help, I really appreciate it!
- I was getting gas in my 94 ford ranger EXTCAB and gas was pouring out under truck? How do I see if its the fuel neck? I used a tiny auto camera to stick all the way down the gas neck and didn't see any holes
- Gas gauge issues 2001 ford ranger 2wd manual 3.0 engine. 12 gallon gas tank? The gas gauge fluctuates between 3/8 and 7/8 somewhat correlating to the amount of gas in my tank but it isn't accurate. What can i do to try and fix this problem? I'm hoping it isn't the float in the gas tank and would like to cover everything else before i drop my gas tank. additional information will be added as requested Gas gauge problems? 2001 ford ranger with a 3.0 engine manual transmission and a 12 gallon gas tank
