How to tell if camshaft synchronizer shaft is bad on 2000 ford explorer with 5.0 liter engine?

What's a camshaft synchronizer "shaft"? Camshafts are timed with a timing belt or timing chain. Go find a mechanic.

Is it bad to drive with a faulty output shaft speed sensor circuit? My transmission light came on yesterday so I did a code check and got the code P0720 and P0722 meaning the speed sensor is not working properly. Is it harmful to drive the car with it malfunctioning? I drive a manual transmission 2001 ford focus, I haven't noticed any change in the way the car drives or shifts.
Is a 2000/2001 ford explorer with 250,000 miles on it bad? Looking at a ford explorer honestly know absolutely nothing about it other than it has at least 250,000 miles on it supposedly highway and interior is a bit messed up. I haven't seen it yet but my boyfriend agreed that we wanted it already. We have kids and wanna make sure we will actually get some use out of it and it is worth paying $1000

What is the difference between a 2.3 liter & a 2.4 liter on a 4 cyl engine? I'm trying to decide on buying a 2007 Honda Element, 4 cyl-VTECH, 2.4 liter & a 2007 Ford Escape Hybird, 4 cyl Hybird, 2.3 liter. Can somebody please explain the difference in simple terms?
