What's a good used suv? Tell me your good/bad experiences and opinions?
I'm looking at replacing my Audi a4 with a small-mid size suv. Must have 4wd/awd.
$4000-7000 range
List so far:
Land Rover 2000-2003/4? Discovery/Discovery II or the model after that 2005-?
Ford escape
Volvo xc90
Honda Pilot or CR-V
Land Rover Freelander? Is it worth considering… It looks tiny
For small SUVs Car & Driver magazine rated the The Honda CR-V best, US NEWS rates Hyundai Tuscon best and the Honda CR-V a close second.
You should do a little research first. Land Rover consistently ranks at the bottom of the list for. Reliability and cost of repair. Better think about wiping those off the list
- How can you tell if a used car should have originally come with a key fob? There are no locks on the outside of my used 2003 Ford Escape other than the one on the driver's side door. Should I just be able to buy and program a new key fob? It's kind of a pain especially when you have groceries, etc. That need to go in the back.
- How can you tell if a used car should have come with a key fab? I bought a 2003 Ford Escape and the door only unlocks from the driver's side. There's no other way of getting into the car. Should it have come with a key fab? Can I just get a new one and program it?
