Advice on buying a new car? - 1
So here s the deal. Just looking for some advice, preferably from experienced individuals or people who have worked in dealerships before.
I'm looking to buy a Chevrolet Sonic LTZ which is the upgraded version. Now these cars are dirt cheap at 2013 or later but I decided I really like the 2015 model with all the bells and whistles.
I have a really good job and make really good cash, 1500 a check. But I'm also only 19 and have very poor credit.
I can only put about 1000 to 1500 down payment (depending on the value I can get for my 2000 ford explorer sport).
Since this is a new car, I have to go to the make branded Chevrolet dealer and we all know how those sales reps are (pushy pushy pushy).
The car I'm looking at is retailing for $14300, which is affordable for me.
I'm just wondering, since I'm so young and a woman at that, if that s a good deal and what kind of advice I can get for dealing with those reps and getting a good deal. I live on my own so I have to go by myself.
My goal is to not be spot delivered a car (like I have been in the past, and lost $3000 because of that).
That sounds like a good deal to me. Being the car is new you should get a better finance rate from the dealer. But if you don't I would keep looking elsewhere. You will love the Sonic its small but big enough and with excellent fuel mileage. If the car you want is a 6 speed manual you will really have some fun!
- Things to know before buying a new or used vehicle? It's my first major choice. Please help and yes I'm going anonymous because I don't want to be judged. Do I pay exactly what the sticker says? Am I supposed to ask questions? What should I know and what is the best choice if you please? Ford's seem like durable vehicles that are easy to work on or I don't know just help please?!
- I need a little advice in buying a new car? I have a great steady job and I can afford to buy a car from the dealership. It is the first time I ever go to a dealership for a car. I'm just wondering if there's any good reliable brands you can recommend to look out for? How is Ford, in your opinion? Also, what are the next steps one takes after buying a new car? Tags, plates, and insurance right?
- What do you think of buying a new Hyundai accent, kia rio, or ford fiesta as a second car? My current car is old and falling apart it has rust everywhere and rocker panels are rotted out. So i was thinking about get a new cheap car like a Hyundai accent or KIA Rio or ford fiesta. What do you think? I don't want a big car just something basic to get me around.
- Buying advice with 1990s Ford f150s? I'm looking to buy a Ford f150, and I've been looking at ones from the 90s on Craigslist, because I like the body style and they're cheap. I'm somewhat concerned about the price though, are there issues with these trucks? They typically sell with around 100,000 miles on them in the $3,000 range.
