2001 ford explorer door issue?
I have a 2001 ford explorer sport v6, 4 wheel drive. When I open the driver door the car doesn't recognize it as open. I can still set the alarm. When I open it the door ajar light doesn't come on or anything. Does anyone have any idea what this could be? I have not checked the fuses but when I open any other door the light goes on and the door ajar light comes on.
There's a switch in the door frame like a button… While door is closed the button is pushed in which says door is closed. When door opens the switch or button pops up and tells it that the door is open which tells the lights and all that to turn on… Each door has there own… Check if its stuck in… Other wise it may need replaced unless there's no power to it then its in the wires some where… Normaly the switch is bad. They go bad often. You could swap it out with another doors switch for testing purposes before buying one… Easy to pop out and back in…
you will find this switch by the door hinges on the vehicle body itself…
- Is this issue with my 2001 ford mondeo mk3 1.8 LX the transfer box or the gearbox? So recently I have been working on a 2001 ford mondeo 1.8 lx and one of the issues it has is only gear 2 and 4 work now is this the transfer box or the gearbox itself?
- Had my ford transit broken into, door peeled in half, what would people recommend, van alarm or deadlocks and door strengthening? My van door was peeled in Half from top to bottom and cleared of everything inside. I'm thinking of getting an alarm that will go off if van is shaken or movement inside but I think this might be too late and the door damage done. Would I be better off getting visual locks for thief's to see then have my door reinforced inside out by my friend who's a welder.

- 2016 Ford Explorer Seatbelt issue? We have a new computer and new seatbelt for a 2016 Ford Explorer but the light that depicts seat belt deployment is still on. How do we get that light to turn off? We're trying to fix it ourselves. We want to find the solution so that the light will turn off. We installed the new computer and the new seatbelts and airbags but the seatbelt in the passenger seat is giving us an issue. We don't know if there's a current running into system.
