You have to get the codes read from the engine controller module to give you an idea where to look.
Sluggish can mean engine or transmission. Suggest you find mechanic to at least road test it to give you an idea on what's wrong
Hi the answer is so simple it needs a new or re=conditioned engine. After 14 years it has worn away. So it would deb sluggish and also give poor MPG. Lower top speed so what do you expect from a 14 year old truck engine.
- I have a 2001 Ford Taurus Lx, it sputters and hesitates during acceleration? I have a 2001 Ford Taurus Lx, it sputters and hesitates during acceleration! It doesn't go pass 25 mph but will reach 5 rpms! Changed spark plugs and wires! Also changed coil pack! Both converters are working properly! Check engine light is not on! Doesn't run hot! Tire pressure indicator comes on though! Not sure what my next step is! I need help!
- Car acceleration problem and idle problem. The car is a 2003 Ford Taurus? . When the car is running and in parked its making a loud consisted rev noise. However the rpm needle thingy is not moving. when i'm in drive the car acclerates on its own with the speed ever increasing. i did some googling and learned that it can be the TPS sensor or the idle air intake valve, among a million other possiblities.
- I have a 1999 Ford Mustang GT and its sluggish when taking off? What could be the issue? Its sluggish on power usually only happens in the first 3 gears between 1800 and 2000 rpms. And also when I give it gas at idle it stays at 2000 rpm before idling down. 178k miles. Just changed a faulty o2 sensor. So what else could possibly making it do this. Probably plugs and coil on plugs need to be changed? If any advice it would greatly help thanks
- 12v outlet (cigarette lighter) in my 2009 Ford Fusion seems to have come loose. How can I fix this? There's still power coming to it, if I hold my phone charger in a certain angle it will work, but I can't constantly hold the charger while I'm driving.
