1991 nissan maxima fuel pump?

So the fuel pump on my car is going bad and a new one from a decent company is going to cost at least 150 plus for just the pump. I don't want to pay that much for a pump that's going in a 23 year old car so my question is, can I just use any pump that runs at the correct psi and flow rate? The car itself needs a minimum 45 psi and a flow rate of 45 gph. I work at autozone and I recently sold a lady a fuel pump for her 2006 ford explorer and it only cost her around 60 bucks for a new airtex pump and it's not fair. If anyone can recommend a 12v fuel pump that runs at minimum 45psi 45gph I'd really appreciate it.
Fyi my car is a 91 nissan maxima with a vg30e engine.

I think the pump is inside the fuel tank that year. There are many pumps that might work but will the pump fit the location and not move into the fuel level sending unit?

Yeah, you could probably make another pump work but after modifying fuel lines and wiring would it actually be cheaper, and worth the trouble? The lady that bought the 60 buck pump will be back next week for a warranty replacement and the week after that for a refund.

Hi it actually has two fuel pumps a low pressure one to get the fuel out of the tank and a high pressure one which is probably the one in trouble. A great deal more expensive.
