What if any are some design or engineering flaws to beware of? - 1
Added (1). For a 2010 Ford F150 SXT Regular cab.(shorty)
Added (2). For example the 2006 ford expeditions have that spark plug issue.(they break often in head)
Added (3). I'm thinking of purchasing a 2010 F150 sxt regular cab automatic 4x4, 8cyl, and was just wondering what to look out for.
Get a Carfax and see if there have been any accidents and if the title is clear. If the title is a salvage title DO NOT buy it. Are there maintenance records showing regular service? I see a zillion F150's tooling around and rarely see one stranded. You are going to spend many thousands on this vehicle. Its worth another hundred bucks to have a qualified mechanic check it out.
Consumer Reports has the reliability records for lots of trucks. It can give you some areas to look into.
Better - go to www.edmunds.com and find your truck. There will be a lot of info but best is the reviews, which always contain chronic problems.
- What do you think of the 1983 - 88 Ford Ranger design w/the 2.0 - 2.3 Liter OHC (pinto) engines? I'm just wondering. I use to own an 84 model w/a 2.3L in it and it seems like an easy to fix and reliable truck so I want to purchase another one that I seen off the internet for like a 1,000 dollars.
- Physics/ Mechanical Engineering Help?! A Ford Ranger with a mass of 2430 kg is traveling at a velocity of 85 mph down a mountain road. The brakes fail and the driver elects to use a "run away" truck ramp to stop the vehicle. The ramp has an incline of 15.0 degrees. What is the minimum length the ramp must be in order for this strategy to stop the truck? Neglect friction and air resistance.
- What are some good things to do to my 2007 Ford V6 Mustang to get some more power and performance? I want to get more power and better performance out of my V6 and no I don't want to trade up for a V8. I inherited this car and its paid off and only has 11,000 miles on it. Not to mention sentimental value so please leave your hate for V6s for someone else. I just want to know some cost effective ways to get more out of my stang. Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated.
- I want to design a car concept. Where do I start? I'm 13. I know I'm young. It won't go through. I'm not looking to submit it yet but to make a work in progress I can look at later on in life. This is my dream. I want to design a modern day Ford Thunderbird performance concept car. Please be nice. This is what I want to do with my life. I want to become an auto-mechanic engineer and designer.
