Ford Expedition window stuck?

I have a 2007 Ford Expedition in great condition, however like my other Ford SUV's, the driver side and passanger are always slow going down and really slow going up.

Today I lowered my window all the way and now it won't even go back up. It moves a tiny bit then gets stuck, and it's stuck in a position I can't even grab the window to help it raise while using the switch at the same times

Is it the switch? Motor? Regulator? I don't know much about windows.

If you have regulated the window about 10 times or more (up to 2 minuts) it probably time for new window motors. To save on motors, refrain from regulating windows.

The motor would be my best guess with the limited amount of information supplied. So remove the door panel and move it from there. You can even drill out the rivets and replace the motor while your in there.

I recommend taking your Expedition to a Ford Dealer to be properly diagnosed. Ask to speak with the service manager. He is in the best position to look into the reason why the window will not go back up.

Locate a dealer near you, and set up an appointment with the link below:

  • 2000 ford ranger window rolls down but not up? I have a 2000 ford ranger recently my passenger window stopped rolling up with either the drivers or passengers switch. It rolls down and the drivers window works fine. I took off the door panel and ran the motor straight to the battery and it rolled up and down fine. I thought maybe the switch but the switch for it on the drivers side doesn't work either but works for drivers window. I'm confused… Anyone got answers?
  • I need the drivers window measurements on a 1994 ford F150? The window had been smashed and I got a window from the salvage yard. The motor in the window is fine its just the glass that needs replacing. The NEW TO ME window was from a supersized cab f150 which is not mine is there a size difference? Any info is info to me, Thank you
  • How to fix window from 2006 Ford F150 that isn't power window but rather manual? My window seems to roll down perfectly but when I try to roll it back up it makes popping noises and is very difficult to roll back up and I have to use my hand to push it up. My Windows are not electrical but they have have the old style manual roll. It's the passengers seat. If anyone knows how to, I'd be happy to know!
  • Hunting: They totaled my 2010 Ford Expedition. Should I get a new expedition or an Escalade? The insurance told the collision center that it is not worth it. I really like my rental 2019 Escalade that I have been using. Should I buy a new Escalade or a new expedition? We have enough for a 2019. Not getting used. We will get about $10,000 for the expedition. I'm just glad nobody was hurt.
