Is it a good thing to have a car with 4 speed automatic with overdrive transmission on a 2002 ford escort?
Mileage 79,498
It is a good thing. Without a transmission the car wouldn't move… And the overdrive is good to help with fuel mileage and lower engine wear. I prefer a manual transmission. But if you can't drive a manual, the automatic would be your only choice.
I already answered this one above! YES they are GREAT and FORD did a good job with them! HAVE IT FULLY SERVICED at a reliable FORD DEALERSHIP! Ask for WARRANTY on the service and check the BBB for each Ford dealership! There are GOOD ONES and BAD ONES Out there, like in All businesses! I FAVOR FORD domestic cars and trucks personally! They have the FEWEST recalls and have more engineers than lawyers! GM was SUED BIG TIME over SATURN trannies and MORE! FOrd was able to move along a CLEARER Pathway! Be SURE to get a FULL SERVICING DONE and NOT by the local QUICKY LUBE! Only a FORD dealership should do this as they use the EXACT right fluids, filters and gaskets with NO compromises made!
- I'm looking to buy a 2002 Ford Mustang (automatic with 180k miles), are there any problems with it? Is it a good car to own? - 1 Everything checks out with the car, the engine works great, transmission is good, and my uncle (a former mechanic) says its in great shape and good for its price. A friend of mine told me that older Ford Mustangs have alot of problems and the car isn't worth it. Is this true? I've searched for hours and haven't found any information validating my friend s claim. Maybe someone who has owned the car or has worked on it has a better opinion for me. Any input would be helpful.
- Can you get a 2015 ford mustang and Chevy camaro in automatic transmission instead of manual transmission? Hi, I'm thinking about buying a 2015 ford mustang or Chevy camaro. Both of the cars come in manual transmission! Is it possible to get it in automatic transmission instead? Can I just ask the dealer (dealership) to give me the car with automatic transmission or do I have to change it myself?
- Does anyone have a Ford Focus or a car with overdrive button? Need advice on the overdrive? Button! I'm confused. When I start my car, the overdrive [off] button goes off. Do I have to push the button on the gear shifter to turn it on? Or am I already in overdrive? I've read the manual and am still confused. I know that when I see overdrive off that it is off, but there's nothing to say it is on. Help! My question is even confusing, I know! Sorry!
- Is a 2002 Ford Escort a good first car? I'm hoping to buy a 2002 Ford Escort on Monday, automatic and has 64,000 miles on it. Good first car or no?
