91 ford escort, smokey exhaust?
My 91 ford escort GT, started billowing white smoke out of the exhaust, like a hotrods burnout amount of smoke. Pressure on the accelerator only makes it worst. I heard that maybe it is a blown head gasket. Any suggestion on what is causing this embarrassing situation?
Sounds like toast in any event.
The smoke does smell bad, and I do not think it's steam.
Depends on what kind of smoke it is. Blueish/white or just steam. If it stinks bad, it's oil and that isn't good. If it is just steam, that isn't good either, since that would be a head gasket.
- White smoke coming from exhaust, Ford Zetec 1999 petrol? I have no other problems with the car, it has 1/2 tank petrol, and oil. At first I thought it may be the cold but, it happens too often for that.
- Which exhaust/exhaust system would work best for my car? I own a 1970 Ford Torino (Brougham) with a 351 Cleveland engine running on stock exhaust. I want to upgrade the exhaust (I'm thinking Flowmaster) but like, does the whole exhaust system need to be done, or like half? I need your help making my baby roar lol. Please give me your best suggestions and approximate cost.
- What brand exhaust should i put on my 01 ford crown victoria? I know different brands have different tones. But what i'm looking for is a very low growl or rumble nothing loud. If you could recommend some muffler sieries i would really appreciate…
- Will a new exhaust actually increase horsepower and fuel economy in my 2001 ford ranger 4.0? I'm looking at the flowmaster 40 series duel exhaust here: http://www.truckexhaustkits.com/ranger-96-04-dual-exhaust-2-25-ma-pipe-flowmaster-40/
