Will my 02 Ford Escape tow a 98 Tahoe travel camper?
I have a 2002 Ford Escape and a 1998 Tahoe travel trailer. It's about 25 feet long, 3,000 pounds. Is this possible? What kind of hitch do I need to purchase?
It will be able to pull it. But depending where you going with it and how far you are pulling it to. The escape has a towing capicatly of 3500 lbs. So if the trailer is 3000 lb. That is right at it's limit. So if you are just going around town or moving it around the area, then it should be fine. But if your planning on a long trip or going to hilly area, then i would suggest getting a more powerful car. And your going to be putting a lot of strain on the tranny and engine. And pulling something that heavy. It's going to more then likely over heat on those up hill climb.
- Is it possible to trade my 2012 Ford Fusion for a small suv and camper? I have a 2012 Ford Fusion I'm thinking about trading it for a small SUV and camper. We're looking at purchasing a 31 ft. Travel trailer to live in over the next year or two It's just my husband and I. Is this something that could be worked out and if so how? Or would is it cause a financial loss to me? Is it more trouble than it is worth? Seeking knowledgeable responses please.
- Can I install after market tow package to a vehicle with a factory installed tow package? I have a 2010 Ford Explorer with a factory installed tow package. I had bought a different tow package that had a larger weight capacity for towing my trailer. I then realized the factory tow package is welded on. Is it possible to install the after market one still?
- Which suv is the most reliable Chevrolet Tahoe or a Ford Expedition? I'm looking for a first car and my parents want it to be a truck, similar to their G-Wagon and GL, thank you.
- What's better, Chevy Tahoe or Ford Expedition? My grnadad always said stay away from Ford but I can't help myself but love FORD anyway. Carsa like Crown Victoria. Grand Marquis's and Town Cars are classics that I love and heavily desire to own someday. I currently own a Buick LeSabre and appreciate what it does for me, but just doesn't fit exactly what I truly wanted. But when It comes to Trucks I will ride and die with FORD all the way and I have yet to own one.
