Should I get a Ford Escape or no?

I was thinking about buying one of the newer models of Ford Escape because they drive well and come well equipped but I showed my mom the car and she was like wow thats ugly. Should I buy it anyway even if it is an ugly car?

Why are you so vain that you care what other people think of the look of your car? Who cares?

Oh no! MOMMY SAID MY CAR IS UGLY! What should I do? *sobs uncontrollably*

Or, you could do some actual research on the matter of what is a good car, and then pick one that scores well in build quality and reliability, instead of being an ignorant knob who only knows what cars look like.

And, when you're driving it, you can't see what it looks like on the OUTside, anyway.

Do you think its ugly? If not buy it! The Escape is one of the best rated of the small crossovers. Mommy is not driving it, you are. Buy what you like.

I have been liking the Hyundai Santa Fa Sport or Tucson (2013 or 2014 version) Then I saw a Ford Escape 2013 SEL version. Some of these are $5k less and have even more features (park assist) and stuff. But a lot of the Reviews online talk about all the recall stuff that is happening with this Ford? (I do realize people are more likely to write a negative review then a positive one). So should I still consider it?
  • Looking to get new tires for 2002 Ford Escape Want a very quiet and smooth ride. Live in area with a lot of potholes and rain. We do have snow but last couple of years has been very mild. Mostly drive back roads and roads with a lot of lights so a lot of stop and go. I also have young kids so I'm looking for safety.   • Is a 2001Ford Escape's engine the same or at least similar to a 2002/2004 Ford Escape? My car is overheating and I've changed my radiator, thermostat, and reservoir and now I'm down to the water pump. I found a video on YouTube for removing the water pump and I think it was on a 2004 Escape or an 02. But I drive a 2001 Ford Escape XLT V6 3.0L 2WD and I need to know if the engines are the same or at least similar. I need to know if the water pump is in the same place?
