You may well be correct. On the other hand you may not. Hot leaking antifreeze will smell no matter where it comes from. You need to look for tell tale signs of crystalline deposits around hose clips, the radiator matrix, check the actual hoses. It may even be the heater matrix leaking which is harder to view. But there WILL be these give away deposits. They may also be very small so you need to look hard.

If it does, the floor in front of the passenger seat would be wet with antifreeze. It may be a leaking hose.

Do not assume anything. Check the coolant level. Smell the vents. Check the floor. If the heater has not been used in a while, it will smell when it is used again. Drive around with the heater on and the windows open (do not freeze yourself) for about half an hour and see if the smell goes away.

Could be, that would suck, but you might get lucky and there could be a slight leak getting in through the fresh air intakes.

That is indeed the most likely culprit if you have coolant odor in the interior of your Escape.

Every who answered me thank you, just had the Escape a couple of months, and love driving it.

Could be something much less serious, like a leak in a hose or a loose clamp.
