I bought a used ford escaped from a dealer 3 months ago, now the car has a transmision problem?

They said they'll help me because I have a 6 months warranty. They send the car to the mechanic under a different name. When I called to get an update from the mechanic they told me it's not my name on the contract. Someone who bought the car before me so they were using that warranty to fix the car. It's been 2 weeks since they took the car from me. I'm a driver I use my car for work so I put a lot of mileage on it. Now I find out my warranty is over because I already drove 10.0000 miles, but before they take the car I told them about the miles. What can I do in this situation?

So you bought the car with the left over extended warranty and you didn't read the terms of the warranty, right? And now you find out that the extended warranty expired because it's over the mileage allowed in the extended warranty, right? And your beef it? What? Because even if you had read the terms of the warranty, it still wouldn't apply.

All warranties have a time and mileage restriction. It's YOUR job to know when the time is up and not expect the dealer to honor a warranty that you've used up.

What you do in this situation is find a reputable transmission shop and pay them to fix the transmission. The dealer owes you nothing.

If work has already been done, then you don't have a choice but to pay. Either way the car needs tranny work and your going to have to pay to get it done.
