2011 Ford Escape Subwoofer Installation | New radio required?

I'm transferring vehicles. My previous vehicle was a 2001 and required an aftermarket radio which had low-level outputs which I routed to my subwoofer amplifier. I recently came across a new car for myself; a 2011 Ford Escape Limited. I wish to just move over my subwoofers as a package. Though, if I need a new radio, I don't really find it worth it anymore, seeing as I bought these subs in high school. They were worth the work then, not so much now. If I don't need a new radio, I might as well just move them over.

Do I need to buy a new radio to get these sub up and running in my new car?

No, you just need a line output converter that connects to your stock speaker wires and gives you rca outputs for amp signal.
OR you can find an amp with high level inputs which does basically the same thing.

You could have done this with your 01 too.

Just buy a LOC if your head unit doesn't have a low level output.

You left out information that would be useful to give you an intelligent answer; what amplifier is powering the sub? If the amp needs to see just low level signals, the right line-out conditioner will take care of that. Then you would not need to change the whole radio. Perhaps the Autolite stereo in your 2011 vehicle is suitable. Look it over.
