08 Ford Escape Window has no power, Why?

I changed out the regulator on the window, because the window was all the way down, after changing it, my girlfriend told me that she rolled down the window down herself, but it didn't roll back up -__- . The window appears to have no power, it has a brand new motor, the fuse works because all other windows roll up and down, but when pressing the driver side control for the front passenger window, along with the switch for the passenger window itself, neither work. Wiring seems intact and other windows work…

Pull out the panels and check if the window has disengaged from the track. Get some jumper wires and connect the motor directly to the battery. Get a multimeter or test light and check for power and ground at the motor with the switch on. Troubleshoot from the results.

  • How to fix window from 2006 Ford F150 that isn't power window but rather manual? My window seems to roll down perfectly but when I try to roll it back up it makes popping noises and is very difficult to roll back up and I have to use my hand to push it up. My Windows are not electrical but they have have the old style manual roll. It's the passengers seat. If anyone knows how to, I'd be happy to know!
  • Can you replace a power window with a manual one? My car (2001 Ford Escape XLT V6) has power windows and the back seat driver, I think, and the front right passenger window are done. So I'm wondering if it's actually possible to just replace the door panels or something and get a manual roll up window that way I won't have to deal with the motor breaking or whatever lol. I live in FL with no A/C so the windows have to be down, also it rains a lot here as most know lol.
