Looking to buy a nice SUV?

I'm in the army and have recently been assigned to my first duty station and I'm looking to purchase a vehicle. Been looking at this 2015 Ford Edge, it is the highest tier has nice bells and whistles, 4 cylinders turbocharged and FWD. I don't really need to have AWD where i'm at. I hear a lot of people say Ford is a bad company and makes cheap cars, which is why I'm concern to purchase this vehicle. It is used with 9k miles on it for $25k. Pretty good deal, but I figure I should get more opinion on this before making my final decision. If I purchase this vehicle, is it going to last me quite a while? 100k miles to 200k? What am I usually expecting to see fail on a Ford vehicle?

You are being given bad advice. Ford makes good vehicles.

I googled it and it had decent reviews. I tried to copy & paste but it didn't work.

Maybe you could google it? 2015 Ford Edge

However, that is WAY too much to spend at your age. And you probably wouldn't qualify for that big of a loan.

UM no everyone in the military thinks they can buy a nice car and they end of carrying the thing around and scramble to sell it when on leave not counting its depreciation something you will learn in your life real fast. You are throwing money at something you will regret. The last ford my family sold depreciated so bad we lost like 8 grand after 1 year ford is horrible. I recommend you to live debt free and invest that money you will badly needed!

With all the technology that is in all the cars of today == they are all good… Your choice in a Ford is a gtood one and the EDGE is a very good vehicle… Enjoy…

That's a nice suv you getting

  • Do some people really care that much about driving a really nice car? My dad is perfectly okay with his 1992 Ford Taurus with 210,000 miles on it, no heat (he lives in Chicago btw), no A/C, and a f::::ked up passenger side door. He's not poor by any means, he's a CFO of a bank. He just says that driving that P. Builds character and he only cares about having a car that can take him from point A to point B.
  • Nice cars for teen around 7,000 or lower? Fairly large cars, preferred brands, jeep, ford, hummer, ram, manly cars lol. Please give me your suggestions. And for date wise nothing below 2009.
  • I'm in high school and about to get my first car looking for a loud, fast and good looking car So far I have looked into ford mustangs, I have a choice between a 2007 ford mustang gt with a 8 cylinder motor with automatic transmission, or I can get a 2013 mustang v6. My question is which of the two cars is a faster and louder car cause I would like to show it off and have heads turn by its engine as I drive off on the street. Thank you very much about to get my first car looking for a loud, fast and good looking car?
  • What kind of SUV should I buy? I currently have a 2013 Ford Fusion that has given me an array of problems. We're wanting a mid-sized SUV, like a Hyundai Sante Fe Sport, Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4 etc. I don't need high tech or fancy and can't afford the luxury kind. Just one that has good gas mileage, reliable for years to come, easy to drive and one that has clear sight lines. With my current car, I can barely see out of it simply to back up. Also, any suggestions can be a couple years old.
