Added (1). Specifically a diesel truck and fairly new, like 2008 to current. Looking for full size like a Ford f-350 or Ram 3500. Just wondering if there's a certain spot in the US where prices are lower to find one.

The junk yards are full of them.

There's no geographic location that you could pinpoint that offers the lowest prices. Those types of vehicles are in very high demand and they carry high resale values.

Areas that aren't truck territory like NYC or maybe downtown Chicago may have lower prices but any smart dealer who had the truck you wanted would ship it to an auction in Texas or Oklahoma where they could get top dollar for it.

Geeze, dude, so you think there's some secret place where pickups are cheaper than anyplace else. Try downtown New York City where there aren't many rednecks. I'll betcha pickups are real cheap there, if you can find any.

In government auctions, Copart auctions, Houston texas has good prices, trucks are always more expensive then cars, shop around in craiglist if you can travel you can find deals in your state

  • Where can I find a good used motor around Indiana? I'm looking for a 351W motor. I'm willing to travel up to 300 miles from Fishers IN for a good used motor. I don't want to pay for a rebuilt one because I plan on getting a rebuilt 390 and transmission for the car in 2 years. I'm willing to consider a 302, but really want a 351W. The motor will be going into a 1964 Ford Galaxie. It has a 351W in it right now, but it is useless. I believe the transmission is a C4.
  • Aren't you amazed by the capabilities and the size of today's full-size pickup trucks? I drive a 2011 Ford Ranger XLT 4x2 with a 4.0 liter V6 (~245 ci.) engine. I was looking up the specs for early-mid 1960s F100s (considered full-size), and they have nearly the same GVWR, towing capacity, payload, horsepower, wheelbase, and height as my "compact" truck. In your opinion, do you think today's full-size trucks are amazing or too fancy/over-sized (a traditionalist like me)? P.S.: I like all American vehicles
