Is the death wobble (in my case I have a 2005 ford f-250) considered a branded title: buyback/lemon?
So I bought a 2005 ford f-250 from a dealership and the truck drove great and had no mechanical or electrical problems. However, I looked at the Carfax and it has a Branded Title: Buyback/Lemon. I also looked up the VIN # on the Ford Recall Owner website and it says mine has a Field Service Action Number 09L02/FSA Title: Customer Maintenance Reminder Shimmy and Tire Inflation Pressure.
But, in the Carfax "Additional History", it says "No Recalls Reported" for Manufacturer Recall.
My truck drives great and no problems (yet) and I haven't really experienced any major wobble because I think one of the pervious owners had installed ball joints.
So is the death wobble a branded title?
Don't worry, Someone was frustrated with the dealer for not fixing the problem and had a good lawyer. They had to buy the truck back but fixed the problem. Wheel shimmy is an easy fix because it can only be caused by bad tire, wheel, suspension components or bearings. All of which can be fixed pretty easily and is not very costly. It's not a Lemon now, is it?
If you bought a vehicle with a branded title, the dealer would have been required to tell you about it before the sale. Were you not paying attention during that part of the sale?
- My local Dodge dealer wants to buyback my 5 months old 2017 Ford Mustang EcoBoost? I received this letter from the local Dodge dealer saying they're short on 2017 used Ford Mustang, therefore, they'd like to buy my Mustang at above market value. I'm curious at what kind of offer they'd give me. I know this is some BS they're trying to pull, but what do you guys think?
- Ford Lemon Law (Lawsuit)? Has anyone had any experience with Ford and having a Lemon? How long start to finish did it take you, and what was the outcome of the lawsuit? 2008 Mustang GT, Leased new, 6 months ago, already been in the shop for 30 days, 4 trans issues.
- Have you considered that Ford was so drunk she doesn't know who the guy was? It is much more likely that Ford was out of her mind drunk and making a pass at the quarterback. So the quarterback handed her off to one of his buddies. What is known about the present day Ford is that she has had a lot of psychiatry, and that means she has a lot of stories back in her younger days. It time to stop being fooled by the democrats.
