How to Diagnosis a spark Problem Ford f-250 (1991 -4.9l )?
Both tanks didn't work and had holes, Took off, Wire wheeled and brushed all rust, THen Painted with Thick Rust-Oleum Metal Primer. And then Thick Black Aluminum Siding Paint.
So i put new tank on.
charge battery
check fluids
Installed battery and tried to start
Turning over
prayed Starting fluid in were filter goes
Still nothing
Now if there's no spark, unless i sprayed in wrong place0_o, line of diagnosis is
1.Fuel tank Swich(inside truck Marked F-Front, R-Rear)
2.Relay
3.Pump
If its the spark
I don't even know where i should start
First, I must say, taking a wire wheel to a gas tank is, well, risky at best.
Second, I wonder if both of those paints you used are "gas proof"?
Next, you mentioned the auxilary tank switch on the dash. What about the diverter switch in the fuel line? Is it blocking BOTH tank lines?
- Car acceleration problem and idle problem. The car is a 2003 Ford Taurus? . When the car is running and in parked its making a loud consisted rev noise. However the rpm needle thingy is not moving. when i'm in drive the car acclerates on its own with the speed ever increasing. i did some googling and learned that it can be the TPS sensor or the idle air intake valve, among a million other possiblities.
- Ford E350 Ignition Problem / NO spark Condition? I have tested spark from coil. I get nothing. Tested for 12 v to coil. Got it. Tested for pulse to coil, nothing. Tested Signal from PIP sensor, I get it. I would assume this means the ICM is bad, however, Had it tested at autozone 6 times, and it passes each time? Why is the coil not getting the signal of PIP is good and ICM is good? Also New Coil* Also, get solid light from ICM to Coil. No blinking on start. So the interrupt is not occurring. I THINK
- Car noise diagnosis, input please? Sometimes when making a hard right turn, when the wheel returns to center it makes a rubbing/ grind sound. I'm thinking cv shaft ( don't know if left or right side) no clicking noise like a regular bad cv joint. Inner or outter tie rod end or a wheel bearing. The sound is like a steam boats horn if that helps at all. After a hard right turn after the wheels are straightened it makes the noise. Car is a 2005 ford focus st. Ty in advance
- My 2000 ford expedition is having a problem with the turning signals. Can anybody identify the problem? The hazard lights work perfectly. I changed out the flasher unit and still not working. I hear like a crackling noise when i try to turn them on. Also, they partially work when I'm pressing the brakes.
