How many miles is too many miles for a 2010 Ford F-250 with a 6.4?
I have one I'm looking at with 175, XXX for about 22k. Looks like it's in good shape but I'm pretty new to diesels
Don't know how many is too many, but that's low.
(low miles, high price)
2 Turbos bro, lots can go wrong - get All of the history from the previous owner. Questions to ask in order of OH -SH*T severity:
- How often was the oil and fuel filters done?
- EGR done?
- Trans done?
- Turbos done?
- Injectors/glowplugs done?
- What did he pull with it? How far? How often?
- What climate/elevation?
Thats a lot of miles! 5 year old truck that already has almost 200k miles. They drove 40k miles a yea, normal milage is usually around 12k miles a year
I think you can find a lower mileage truck better priced then that one. Unless its a semi truck, I don't care if its a diesel or not, still a small based Ford pickup
I would always buy cars with less than 168k Because you never know what might happen at 175k.
Duh
Are you KIDDING ME? $22K for anything with 175k is about 4 times what I would pay.
My car has less than 90k. Show up at my door with $1900 and you can own it.
Tough to say without details of model and features. A 2010 2WD F250 regular cab longbed XL diesel should be about half that price with that many miles on it, but 4WD or different model with more features may add to that. Crank it into kbb.com or edmunds.com and see what you come up with.
The last Ford truck I drove was a 1995 F250HD regular cab 2WD XL w/5.7L gas work truck and I put 138,000 miles on it over 13 years with no problems at all (currently using 2008 GMC 2500 extended cab shortbed 4WD w/6.0L gas).
But for personal winter use I just purchased a 2008 Subaru Outback w/150,000 mi in beautiful shape for $6780 minus $850 trade-in for a 2001 137,000 mi Pathfinder with body rot that needed $4000+ in repairs (major brake work and brake lines, 3 springs, rusty oil pan, etc.), although, it still ran good other than only having half its brakes.
- Is putting too many miles on my car at once bad? I have a 2001 ford mustang. It currently has 104,000 miles. I bought it at 93,000 miles in early 2013. I'm taking trip on Sunday and from here to there and back it will be around 174 miles. I maintain the car, change it's oil all of that.
- How many miles is too many? - 2012 Ford Fusion? I have a couple of questions for you guys… I found a 2012 Ford Fusion SEL that I like. The problem is it has a LOT of miles for a 2012, 97k to be exact. Is this something a car buying should stay away from? My other question is how well do 2012 Ford Fusions hold up? How many miles can it be expected to last if it has been taken care of? I'm looking for a used car 2009-current for around or under 13k. Have suggestions? Feel free to let me know!
- How many miles can a 2010 ford fusion go up too? Hello I'm trying to buy a Ford Fusion it has 114k miles on it it's a 2010 I don't know too much about cars but is that good? And how many miles can a Ford Fusion go up too. I don't want to buy the car if people feel like the miles are too high
