Can the Ford dealership reprogram the computer for bigger tires?
For a 2015 Ford F-350 6.2, can the dealership reprogram the trucks onboard computer to accommodate larger tires so the speedometer, cruise control and everything else is as accurate as before? The tires won't be huge as the truck will be stock height ( not lifted ). I just want to put the biggest tires on that can fit without any suspension upgrades, lifts, or levels and still have the speedo and all as accurate as before
And there about the only ones that can do it.
- Is there the way to reprogram or remove rev limiter? I have 2001 Ford Taurus ses and mines has rev limiter 5k rpm, and try to set to 6500 rpm would be perfect for accelerating or even more.
- Can 225/70R16 tires fit on rims that have 225/70r14 tires on them? I have 225/70r14 tires on my Ford ranger. I just got some 225/70r16 tires of the same brand, Cooper, given to me. Will they fit on the 225/70r14 rims or do I need to get rims to fit the 225/70r16.
- How much bigger will my tires be? I currently have 255/65/16 size tires on my 1999 ford f150 and i'm upgrading to 245/75/16. How much bigger will they be?
- Can I take my used car from a used car dealership, to the name brand dealership? I have a 2002 ford explorer, and the fuel level gauge is not working. Do I take it to a regular mechanic, or can I go to a ford dealership? or is there a way to do it myself?
