96 Ford F250 351W into a 92 Bronco?

I may be buying a 92 Bronco XLT with an automatic transmission 266k miles on it, guy ran the engine with no oil pump and there's metal shavings in the pan, body is pretty clean and it has a clean title (assuming engine is seized) (guy wants $600, I think that's too much so I'm going to try and get it for about $350) and I've located a few 351 windsor blocks for it and the cheapest I've found is a 96 Ford F250 automatic with a 351 Windsor in it. Will this bolt directly in?
I have a '92 with a 351W also! LOVE IT… Is the F-250 maybe a 4x4? You could take both of the axles also! Yes, it will be a drop-in. Now, you could just swap the short block & then re-use the other components from the Bronco?

- 1997 Ford Ranger 4.0 V6 won't shift into drive after being driven. Takes longer than should to shift into drive when first started? It will go in reverse fine. First thing in the morning when I leave for work, it will shift into drive on it's own, but takes a bit longer than it should. After getting it warm, won't shift into drive at all. I can shift down to 1st or 2nd, then back into drive and it will "pop up" into drive within a second or 2. I also have a ODB2 error P1744 (Torque Converter circuit).
- How to tell what year a 351W is? My dad has a 1964 Ford Galaxie 500. It has a 351W (not the original motor to the car). He was told its a 1977. But recently he wanted to put spark plugs and wires on the car. They where the wrong size. Then they told him when he returned them to the store that a 1977 would not have a points distributor. Is this correct?
