2000 f250 7.3l powerstroke engine coolant capacity and brand?

I just bought a 2000 Ford f250 super duty 6 speed 4x4. I desperately need to do a coolant flush because the precious owner filled the thing with kerosene. I don't know how long its been like that but i'm flushing it and buying all new hoses and a new coolant tank as well. I'm gonna hope for bow all the gaskets are ok. Anyway. I need to know what kind of coolant I should buy. I usually just go with prestone straight antifreeze and make my own 50/50 mixture. I hear it takes 8 gallons.

That's not kerosene idiot that's diesel fuel that's in your radiator smells like kerosene but nobody puts kerosene in the radiator your injector cups need replacing you need to do that ASAP don't waste your money putting fresh antifreeze in it

  • 2002 ford taurus coolant bubbling out of coolant tank cap? Coolant is bubbling out of the tank cap on my taurus. The coolant is a bit over the fill to line. The coolant is the normal green color. I don't think it having a bit of extra coolant in the tank is doing this. The cap itself maybe? I just bought this car and it didn't do this until today.
  • My 2000 Ford Windstar has a coolant leak. What could be causing it to leak? It has two leaks. One is from the passenger side near the front tire and the second is right below the driver's seat. I have to replace the coolant after I have had the heater on for a bit. I never have it on for more than 15 min. Not because the coolant runs out in that time but I just don't use it for long. I took it to the mechanic and he stated it was the "lower intake manifold gasket". I'm asking if anyone has any other ideas because that repair is pretty pricey.
